BUNDY AND HURON TO SUPPLY CHRYSLER VIPER WITH BRAKE AND FUEL FLUID CARRYING SYSTEMS

BUNDY AND HURON TO SUPPLY CHRYSLER VIPER
WITH BRAKE AND FUEL FLUID CARRYING SYSTEMS
WARREN, Mich., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Bundy International's recent acquisition of Huron Products is paying dividends in terms of their ability to service the automobile industry with the latest technology in fluid carrying systems.
The Viper's brake/fuel hybrid bundle was designed jointly by Bundy and Chrysler to be produced from CNC benders at Bundy's Bloomington, Ill., plant. The design, developed at Bundy's Warren Technology Center, combines brake lines of Bundyweld (Bundy's double-walled steel tubing) and low carbon steel fuel lines coupled to Teflon hose.
The tubes are fastened together using a Huron-designed and manufactured clip which also accommodates the wire harness. Ease of assembly plant installation is further enhanced by the use of the Huron(TM) Quick Connect which allows snap-in connection to the fuel filter and gasoline tank. The rear fuel assembly of Nylon 12, designed and supplied by Huron, combines preformed supply, return, and vapor fuel tubes which are routed from the sending unit of the tank to Bundy's steel tubes.
The system's metal tubes reflect the latest in coating technology utilizing Bundcoat 3500 for extended corrosion protection. Bundycoat 3500 utilizes a hot dip Galfan coating consisting of an alloy of 95 percent zinc, 5 percent aluminum and other trace elements, with an overcoat of aluminum-rich paint, a thermosetting epoxy coating containing aluminum flake. This combination provides corrosion protection of over 10 times the industry norm.
Bundy and Huron Products' joint effort with Chrysler has resulted in a flexible, cost-effective brake and fuel fluid carrying system of the highest quality.
