BUILDING DELAYS TO JAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS MAY CROWD WEST RANCH HIGH WITH CASTAIC SITE IN LIMBO.Byline: ALEX DOBUZINSKIS Staff Writer CASTAIC -- The planned Castaic High School, needed to meet the community's growing population, is at least three years behind schedule because of rising construction costs and delays in acquiring the property. And as the opening date for Castaic High gets pushed back, nearby West Ranch High is becoming increasingly crowded with students from the Castaic area. Castaic High School originally was expected to open in 2007.
