BUILDERS MAY GET A HELPING HAND.Byline: Sonia Giordani Daily News Staff Writer Hoping to keep commercial developers within Agoura Hills, the City Council will consider giving builders a break on the city's traffic impact fee. Currently, developers can begin construction after paying a one-time traffic impact fee, which helps finance more than $25 million in city road upgrades. With some developers facing formidable fees totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars, however, City Council members will discuss alternatives for builders that would allow them to begin construction after paying only a portion of the fee. Under a revised fee payment system, the balance would be paid during a three- to four-year period. ``We need to make it a little less onerous on·er·ous adj. 1. Troublesome or oppressive; burdensome.
