BUGS CEO Receives Businessman of the Year Award; CEO Also Discusses Key Environmental Issues and Future Opportunities.

Business Editors

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 2004

U.S. Microbics, Inc. (OTCBB OTCBB

See OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB).
:BUGS) today announced that the National Republican Congressional Committee's Executive Awards Committee presented the California Businessman of the Year award to Robert Brehm, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  on April 1st at a ceremony in Washington DC.

The event was attended by Senate and House members and staff and ended with a speech from President Bush.

As one of California's Voting Delegates at the 2004 Congressional Tax Summit, Mr. Brehm also discussed environmental cleanup The process of removing solid, liquid, and hazardous wastes, except for unexploded ordnance, resulting from the joint operation of US forces to a condition that approaches the one existing prior to operation as determined by the environmental baseline survey, if one was conducted.  issues using state-of-the-art biotechnology solutions. His comments were enlightening and well received by the attendees and congressional staff he met.

Brehm commented, "It was refreshing to learn how the Republican pro-growth, pro-job creation policies are steering America in the right direction, and that Americans can depend on Republicans to make economic decisions that will help the country become stronger in all areas including the environment. The President's proposed national energy policy includes initiatives to develop zero-emissions energy technologies and other sources of clean affordable energy as well as explore alternative technologies. The current administration also signed and implemented historic Brownfields legislation encouraging investment and redevelopment (and contamination cleanup) of urban areas and provided an 85% increase in Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), independent agency of the U.S. government, with headquarters in Washington, D.C. It was established in 1970 to reduce and control air and water pollution, noise pollution, and radiation and to ensure the safe handling and  funding."

Brehm added, "The BUGS cleanup technology, delivered on a "pay for performance" basis, is well positioned to address the key national concern areas of MTBE MTBE Methyl-tert-butyl-ether Surgery An aliphatic ether that rapidly dissolves cholesterol stones in vivo, introduced under local anesthesia via a percutaneous transhepatic cholecystectomy catheter, as a non-invasive method for treating gallstones; after injection,  (gasoline additive Gasoline additives increase gasoline's octane rating or act as corrosion inhibitors or lubricators, thus allowing the use of higher compression ratios for greater efficiency and power, however some carry heavy environmental risks. ) and perchlorate perchlorate: see chlorate.  (rocket fuel) cleanup in Brownfield areas and private sector arenas. With the economy improving, interest rates at record low levels and real estate prices accelerating, property cleanup efforts are increasing and our better, faster, cheaper and safer solutions are becoming a viable alternative to 1980's conventional technology. All of these factors encourage me to believe we have a bright future ahead of us."
