McNabb said the problem is caused by moisture beneath the surface, which has no way to escape. The school board voted unanimously Tuesday night to install a separator that will help dispel the moisture.

McNabb said the cost of the floor is approximately $80,000.

A new floor also will be installed at the Richard T. White Center on the Park View Intermediate School campus.
