Cathie Wright successfully convinced a Legislative conference committee to approve $586,000 for Northridge's sports program. Wright has urged school officials to begin making immediate plans to reinstate baseball and men's volleyball for this season. Men's soccer and men's swimming, also dropped by the school last month, have been reinstated. Bubb said Monday he has been asked to put together plans in case the money comes through to reinstate the sports for one year.
