BTU Announces $3.8 Million in Orders From the Power Generation Industry.

BTU International, Inc. (NASDAQ: BTUI) announced today it has signed contracts for multiple orders in excess of $3.8 million. The orders were placed by overseas customers in the Power Generation industry for BTU's latest generation Walking Beam systems designed for sintering fuel. These orders are from existing customers for capacity expansion. Revenue will be recognized over the remaining quarters of 2001.

BTU's Walking Beam systems operate at temperatures of up to 1800 degrees centigrade and are used for large volume production, incorporating the latest technological advancements for processing heavy loads under precisely controlled temperature and atmosphere.
