The Company reported a profit for the quarter of $176,000 which included a one-time gain of $492,000 on the exercise of the call option to purchase of all of the assets of the BTI Limited Partnership. Excluding the gain on the exercise of the call option, the loss for the second quarter would have been $0.01 per share ($316,000), $0.01 less than the loss of $0.02 per share ($884,000) for the second quarter of 1998.
