BTG reports record financial results.

VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 1995--BTG Inc., the Northern Virginia information technology company, released its FY 1995 unaudited third quarter results today, reporting record revenue and net income.

Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 1994 was $45.6 million, up 39% from the $32.8 million reported for the same period last year.

Net income for the quarter was $994,000, up 19.2% from $834,000 last year. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter were $0.20, which surpassed the company's expectations of $0.18. Contract backlog -- the amount of business the company is contracted to perform and a significant indicator of financial stability and future growth potential -- was estimated at $230 million at the end of the quarter.

For the first nine months of FY 1995, revenue totaled $116.6 million, up 50% from the $77.7 million reported in the first three quarters of FY 1994. Net income for the three quarter rose 67% from $1.5 million in FY 1994 to $2.5 million this year. The company operates on a fiscal year that begins on April 1. Total revenue of $116.6 million for the nine months just ended exceeded revenue of $103.6 million for all of FY 1994.
