BTG Selected for $30 Million Information Technology Services Contract for U.S. Army Headquarters.

, Inc. (Nasdaq: BTGI), an information systems and technical services company, has been awarded a five-year contract to provide information technology services to the Headquarters, Department of the U.S. Army at the Pentagon.

The contract, called the Headquarters Department of the Army Information Technology Services (HQDA-ITS) contract, contains three categories. BTG's award was made in Category 1, Information Technology Support, which has a ceiling of $30 million. The contract is an IDIQ IDIQ Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (contracting/procurement)  (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity) vehicle, under which task orders are allocated to one of the prime contractors selected for awards in Category 1. Anticipated revenue to BTG, which leads a team of seven other companies, is estimated at $15 million during the five-year term of the contract.

BTG has been providing information technology support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services  to the Department of the Army's Information Management Support Center (IMCEN IMCEN Information Management Support Center

) since 1984. BTG Group Vice President Les Rose said the company currently provides enterprise support services, including help desk and network support, and Web services (1) Loosely, any online service delivered over the Web. Rose said HQDA-ITS will be the primary vehicle for future work within the Headquarters, Department of the Army and BTG expects to provide enterprise support services, requirements analysis (project) requirements analysis - The process of reviewing a business's processes to determine the business needs and functional requirements that a system must meet. , software development, and, as part of its infrastructure/information assurance practice, network security.
