Under the terms of the agreement, BTG purchased the net assets of the division for approximately $14 million. The combined company will have 1,600 employees working throughout the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  and in other countries.

-- The companies' combined experience in technologies in schools will expand BTG's national practice, which offers complete information technology solutions to local school districts.

-- Both BTG and SSDS are Microsoft Solutions Providers and Partners; SSDS is one of the companies participating in Microsoft's Windows 2000 Rapid Deployment Program. SSDS is also a systems integration partner of Remedy Corporation, an industry leader in enterprise applications for government and private business. SSDS has a large number of Remedy Authorized Consultants (RACs) who provide consulting, customization and integration for Remedy-based solutions.
