BTG Appoints Paul Leslie As Chief Operating Officer.

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1999--BTG, Inc. (Nasdaq: BTGI), an information systems and technical services company, announced the appointment of Paul G. Leslie as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the company, responsible for day-to-day operations.

He will assume his new post in May. Leslie was previously Vice President and Deputy General Manager of Federal Information Technology at TRW, Inc., which he joined in 1998 through the acquisition of BDM International. At BDM he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Systems Development and Integration. Prior to that, he served as Senior Program Manager of the Commercial Systems Group of Universal Systems, Inc. and as Technical Director of Systems Engineering Development for EDS, Inc.

BTG President and CEO Ed Bersoff said all BTG operating units will report to Leslie. "Paul has vast experience in managing large information technology and engineering services organizations, which will help us maximize our efficiency and streamline the delivery of services to our customers. For example, at BDM he led the initiative that resulted in that company's achievement of Level 3 on the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model. His broad experience in the federal civilian and commercial markets will support our strategic expansion in these areas."

Bersoff said the hiring of a COO is the result of BTG's ongoing strategic planning, which is focused on three principal stakeholders. Customers will be the primary responsibility of the new COO. Investors are the major responsibility of Chief Financial and Administrative Officer Todd Stottlemyer, who was also named Executive Vice President. Employees will be the focus of Senior Vice President Linda Hill, who becomes BTG's Chief Human Development Officer. Senior Vice President Randy Fuerst will take on additional responsibilities for the development and profitable growth of the company's core services business. Senior Vice President Al Jackson will be responsible for major new business development and planning.
