BTE Technologies, Inc. Appoints Vice President of Business Development.

BALTIMORE & GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. -- BTE Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of software, equipment and services to healthcare providers as well as customized solutions for the workers compensation industry, announced today the appointment of Connie Vaughn-Miller to the newly created position of vice president, business development.

In this new role, Vaughn-Miller will be responsible for strategic planning and business development. Her responsibilities will include working with existing BTE clients as well as new client prospects including employers, insurers, clinics and healthcare providers.

Vaughn-Miller brings more than 25 years of experience in disability management to the company. Her career includes a range of positions she held at Intracorp, a Philadelphia-based health care and disability management company. Most recently, she served for six years as director of strategic market development. In this capacity, Vaughn-Miller consulted with employers and insurance administrators on solutions for managing lost time, lost productivity, employee safety and wellness as well as prevention of injury and illness strategies.

Previously, she served as Intracorp's national director of prevention services where she was responsible for developing and implementing a strategic market plan and comprehensive business for injury prevention and ergonomics, also overseeing product development, sales planning and outcome management processes.

Vaughn-Miller, 48, resides in the Orlando, Fla., area with her husband and son. She earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Florida Southern College. She also has a master's degree in counseling education from Florida Atlantic University. She has a post masters certificate in industrial ergonomics and safety from the University of Central Florida. Vaughn-Miller also holds several certifications. She is a board certified professional ergonomist by the Board of Certification of Professional Ergonomics. She is a certified disability management specialist, by the Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission and a certified case manager from the Commission for Case Management Certification. She is also licensed by the state of Florida as a qualified rehabilitation provider.

Vaughn-Miller is a seasoned lecturer and author, having addressed many topics relevant to disability management throughout her extensive career.
