BTE Technologies, Inc. Appoints Vice President of Business Development.


BALTIMORE & GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. -- BTE Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of software, equipment and services to healthcare providers as well as customized solutions for the workers compensation industry, announced today the appointment of Connie Vaughn-Miller to the newly created position of vice president, business development.

In this new role, Vaughn-Miller will be responsible for strategic planning Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy, including its capital and people.  and business development. Her responsibilities will include working with existing BTE clients as well as new client prospects including employers, insurers, clinics and healthcare providers.

Vaughn-Miller brings more than 25 years of experience in disability management to the company. Her career includes a range of positions she held at Intracorp, a Philadelphia-based health care and disability management company. Most recently, she served for six years as director of strategic market development. In this capacity, Vaughn-Miller consulted with employers and insurance administrators on solutions for managing lost time, lost productivity, employee safety and wellness as well as prevention of injury and illness strategies.

Previously, she served as Intracorp's national director of prevention services where she was responsible for developing and implementing a strategic market plan and comprehensive business for injury prevention and ergonomics ergonomics, the engineering science concerned with the physical and psychological relationship between machines and the people who use them. The ergonomicist takes an empirical approach to the study of human-machine interactions. , also overseeing product development, sales planning and outcome management processes.
