I think it annoys all those Southerners that, whatever they do, we keep on rising to the challenge. However, it occurs to me that this is not really such a big issue. A private company at its founding in 1922, it was replaced by a public corporation under royal charter in 1927. is so fond of telling us, "other telecom providers are available". Surely all we need do is switch to one of the other companies. If enough people ditched BT, I'm sure they would soon find a way of bringing the exchanges to our a r ea.
