BT at the end of the line.

BT have been branded the UK's worst phone company by consumers.

A survey revealed 30 per cent of customers signed up to the telecom giants are fed-up with their service.

BT came bottom in nine out of 11 categories in the poll by price watchdogs uSwitch uSwitch.com is one of the most established UK-based price comparison and switching websites.[1] Started in 2000 and now owned by E. W. Scripps Company,[2] .com.

Researchers questioned almost 12,000 customers. Results were weighted to take different home phone providers' market share into account.

BT, with 10million customers, were rated worst for everything, from value for money to set-up and ease of use.

Top marks went to Sky, who launched a home phone service 18 months ago. Eighty-five per cent of customers were happy.

A uSwitch spokesman said: "It's disappointing that, 24 years since the market was deregulated to increase consumer choice and reduce prices, phone firms are still not getting it right."

BT claimed the results differ from their customer research.
