BSQUARE Corporation (Nasdaq:BSQR) unveiled today the newest member of its CEValidator(TM) QA Automation Product family, the CEValidator Application Tester.

Available in the second quarter, the new product will enable device developers to save time and development cost by automatically recording automated tests for ensuring the quality of software applications on an intelligent computing device.

CEValidator Applications Tester Shortens the Development Cycle and Saves Development Costs for Intelligent Computing Devices

BSQUARE's new CEValidator Application Tester is the most comprehensive program for testing GUI-based software applications on an intelligent computing device. The program records testing scripts while you interact with the application, avoiding the need for programming. Application Tester can be purchased as a stand-alone program, or be fully integrated with CEValidator Platform Tester for a complete device quality assurance solution.

There are three tools included in CEValidator Application Tester: the Application Recorder, Test Builder, and GUI Tester. The Application Recorder provides a fast, easy method for creating test scripts without programming by capturing keystrokes and mouse events, adding various verification checks, starting and stopping applications, and adding script comments. Test Builder automatically traverses the application menu and dialog structure to generate a testing framework to begin your automation programming. GUI Tester automatically tests an application's menu and dialog box structure to identify all GUI related issues; for example -- duplicate hotkeys or overlapping controls.

CEValidator Applications Tester is extensible for applications that require complex testing logic, communication with other programs, or require precise control over script execution; Application Tester includes the ability for the developer to extend recorded scripts using standard C programming language.

CEValidator Application Tester will be available from BSQUARE and authorized distributors worldwide. Single user licenses are priced at $4,950 with multi-user licenses starting at $19,750.
