BSI2000 Partner Moves Ahead With Italian National ID Card.

L. C. Sistemia has been awarded the prime contract on the optical card project by the Italian government. In 2001, BSI2000 and L. C. Sistemia signed an agreement that gives BSI2000, as a subcontractor, the exclusive right to provide the integrated optical card terminals needed for the Italian project. In discussions with BSI2000, L. C. Sistemia estimated that the Italian Government could require 8,000 or more of BSI2000's Civilitas 2000(TM) secure Citizen Identification Terminals over the life of the project.
