(OTCBB:BSDM) of Salt Lake City will receive the Frost & Sullivan 2005 Technology Innovation of the Year Award in the field of cancer therapy devices tonight in San Francisco. Frost & Sullivan, a global leader in growth consulting, will honor breakthrough achievements across different sectors of the medical device industry at an awards banquet. BSD Medical was selected for its development of cutting-edge cancer therapy technology.

This Technology Innovation of the Year Award was given to BSD Medical Corp. for the development of the BSD-2000, which is used to selectively destroy cancer through focused RF energy, and to boost the effectiveness of radiation and chemotherapy in combined treatments. Conventional surface treatment methods used to perform similar therapies do not treat tumors that exist more than a few centimeters below the surface of the skin; consequently, deep tumors remain unaffected.
