BS 7882:2008--torque measuring devices.BSI BSI - British Standards Institute British Standards British Standards are the national standards of the UK. The standards body which produces them is BSI British Standards, a division of BSI Group. It is incorporated under a Royal Charter and is formally designated as the National Standards Body (NSB) for the UK. has just published this revised standard on the calibration and classification of torque measuring devices This is an incomplete list of measuring devices.
actinometer heating power of sunlight
alcoholometer alcoholic strength of liquids
ammeter electric current, amperage .
The first standard of this type to be published, BS 7882 evolved from the need for calibration laboratories to determine the results of torque measurements in a uniform manner. This standard provides a practical solution for the calibration of torque measuring devices without making the calibration too time-consuming to perform and consequently commercially unviable.
* BS 7882 specifies requirements for the calibration and classification of torque measuring devices, including those used for the calibration of hand torque tools to BS EN ISO (1) See ISO speed.
(2) (International Organization for Standardization, Geneva, Switzerland, www.iso.ch) An organization that sets international standards, founded in 1946. The U.S. member body is ANSI. 6789.
* BS 7882 describes the method of calibration, calculation of calibration results and the classification of the torque measuring device in a static mode. The information to be given on the certificate of calibration is also listed. Price 142 [pounds sterling] * Member Price 51 [pounds sterling] ISBN ISBN
