BRUINS GET THREE MORE COMMITMENTS.

 football team received its first oral commitment of the 1996-97 recruiting season last summer, from Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown.  quarterback Scott McEwan.

Jesse Sims, a defensive end/linebacker from Haywood Thomas High School in Stamford, Conn. Simms is the grandson of Jackie Robinson Noun 1. Jackie Robinson - United States baseball player; first Black to play in the major leagues (1919-1972)
Jack Roosevelt Robinson, Robinson
 and was named after his godfather, Jesse Jackson.

Jason Stephens, a receiver/defensive back from Redlands H.S. He is 6-2 and runs well. Watch for the Bruins to make him a safety - perhaps Shaun Williams' successor.

Kenyon Coleman, a 265-pound lineman who can play either side of the ball. He's from Alta Loma H.S., which produced Steve Buck and Rodney Lee.

UCLA hopes to sign 20 players. Letters-of-intent cannot be signed until February.
