BROWN AND CALDWELL NAMES INDUSTRY VETERAN TO SENIOR POST

 PLEASANT HILL, Calif., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Brown and Caldwell (BC), an environmental engineering and consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Bill Hutson, a long-time Union Carbide manager, to its environmental services group. He joins Brown and Caldwell as national accounts manager.
 Hutson will work to develop master services agreements and partnering alliances between BC and chemical and petrochemical companies. Based in Houston, he will focus on companies in the Gulf Coast, Southeast and Northeastern United States.
 Hutson's experience lies in the administration, operation and management of purchasing in the chemical, petrochemical and air separation businesses. This includes the activities surrounding engineering, construction, and maintenance and operation in those businesses.
 He is a member of the CII (construction industry institute), the National Association of Purchasing Management, and the AIChE/ECC (American Institute of Chemical Engineering/Engineering Construction Conference). He was elected to the ECC executive board in 1986, served a four-year term, and served as chairman in 1988.
 In 1961, he was awarded bachelors of science degrees in mechanical engineering and mathematics from the University of Houston.
