BROWN & CALDWELL TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING, FIELD SERVICES FOR MILITARY CLEAN-UPS

 PLEASANT HILL, Calif., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Brown and Caldwell has signed a subcontract with Bechtel National Inc., to help carry out the scope of the Comprehensive Long-term Environmental Action Navy (CLEAN) contract that involves study and design leading to cleanup and removal of hazardous and toxic waste at Navy and Marine Corps installations in Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
 In support of Bechtel, Brown and Caldwell will provide environmental engineering and field services for the Department of the Navy's Environmental Engineering Program. The majority of the work will take place in the Long Beach and San Diego areas of Southern California.
 "Our team will provide services necessary to carry out preliminary assessments, site investigations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies and remedial designs. Brown and Caldwell's proven expertise in environmental engineering for the public and private sector will be applied to this multi-task, multi-site program," said Brown and Caldwell's Chief Executive Officer Steven Fisher. "Our management and technical team is eager to apply its skills to this challenging assignment."
 The CLEAN contract will include a variety of investigations, studies and designs in accordance with applicable regulations, including the comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
 Brown and Caldwell is a multi-disciplinary environmental engineering and consulting firm that provides scientific, technical, and engineering design services to government and industry. The employee-owned firm has offices throughout the United States, close to 1,000 employees, and is ranked 25th on the Environmental Business Journal's listing of top environmental engineering and consulting firms.
