 Les Dennis Les Dennis (born Leslie Dennis Heseltine on October 12, 1954 in Liverpool, Merseyside) is an English television presenter, actor and celebrated saxophonist. And he and his five housemates had had to make their own beds.

Les, ex-Take That star Mark Owen, DJ-turned-actor Goldie and TV presenters Sue Perkins, Melinda Messenger and Anne Diamond were told to assemble three flat-pack beds at the start of the 10-day flyon-the-wall show.

Though some appeared nervous before entering the house, the contestants all seemed good-natured - laughing and joking as they set about their first task.

The group are all appearing in the Channel 4 show unpaid, raising cash for charity.

Jodie McNee, Les's 18-yearold niece, said after watching the first instalment: ``I know he `s going to be a stabling influence in there.

``He has a lovely personality. In our family we know we can always go to Les if we have a problem.''

Jodie, from Wavertree, is studying at the London Drama School and says Les has always been supportive - ``so I will support him and vote for him.''
