COUNTRY king Garth Brooks is plotting to break out of retirement after 10 years with a series of massive Irish concerts.

The 45-year-old star is locked in talks with music industry bigwigs in Dublin and could perform up to five outdoor gigs with an 80,000 capacity per concert.

Father-of-three Brooks is considering hitting the road after his hugely successful performance at benefit concerts last weekend for victims of the California fires.

Last night a source close to the If Tomorrow Never Comes singer revealed: "He hasn't been on tour in nearly a decade but he's hungry to do more live shows.

"He always puts his children first so he wants to think about how this would affect them.

"But there's every chance we could see him in Ireland sooner rather than later."
