BROKAT Promoting Initiatives To Tighten Security and Reduce Fraud for Online Transactions.

At the Pentium III Processor review Day, the BROKAT Twister e-service product was used with a BROKAT corporate banking demonstration to show the use of the Intel Pentium III processor for authentication. A user registered the Pentium III processor ID with the remote Twister-based corporate banking server using a standard Internet browser See Web browser. . The user then supplied a username The name you use to identify yourself when logging into a computer system or online service. Both a username (user ID) and a password are required. In an Internet e-mail address, the username is the left part before the @ sign. For example, KARENB is the username in karenb@mycompany.  and password to connect to the corporate banking server. Because the user is connected to the corporate banking server from a Pentium III processor-based PC that was properly registered with the server, they were able to retrieve their corporate account balance and approve a $2M wire transfer from the account. A second user followed by logging into the server from a PC without an Intel Pentium III processor. The second user was permitted to see the account balance, but the attempt to approve the $2M wire transfer was denied due to improper
