Brockholes Wl met last Thursday at the Methodist Church Parlour, when speaker was Georgie Oldfield MCSP on Pain Relief. She began by describing how she came to be interested in pain relief, starting as a qualified physiotherapist in 1983 for the NHS. By1989 she was working as a superintendent physiotherapist at Bradford Royal Infirmary. Later on in her career she become interested in not just managing chronic pain but relieving it. She discovered Dr Sarno's work on TMS (Tension Myoneural Syndrome), and visited him in New York and now she dedicates her practice to working with people who have TMS and their recovery. Nancy Greenwood thanked the speaker and Elizabeth Mosley won this month's competition for a candlestick.

Parish communion at St George's Church was celebrated by the Rev David Barnes. Lessons were read by Neil Drake. The server was Elizabeth Mosley and the organist was Verena Wood.

Mrs Beryl Holt led worship at the Methodist Church. Paul Grant read the lesson and Michael Brown played the organ.
