Brockholes Wl met last Thursday at the Methodist Church Parlour, when speaker was Georgie Oldfield MCSP on Pain Relief. She began by describing how she came to be interested in pain relief, starting as a qualified physiotherapist in 1983 for the NHS. By1989 she was working as a superintendent physiotherapist at Bradford Royal Infirmary Bradford Royal infirmary is a large teaching Hospital in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, and is operated by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS trust. The infirmary is affiliated with Leeds School of Medicine. . Later on in her career she become interested in not just managing chronic pain but relieving it. She discovered Dr Sarno's work on TMS (Tension Myoneural myoneural /myo·neu·ral/ (mi?o-nldbomacr´'al) pertaining to nerve terminations in muscles.
