Synthetic rubber. Levapren is the company's tradename for a group of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers with outstanding elastomer elastomer (ĭlăs`təmər), substance having to some extent the elastic properties of natural rubber. The term is sometimes used technically to distinguish synthetic rubbers and rubberlike plastics from natural rubber.  characteristics, according to a six-page, four-color, fold-out brochure. Levapren is said to have proven itself in the production of halogen-free cable sheathing and combustion-modified insulation. Another key application is as a base medium for wear-resistant, low-flammability rubber floor coverings in heavily frequented areas. (Bayer)

Mold releases/adhesive systems. Frekote mold release coatings and Hysol adhesive systems are featured in a 12-page, four-color brochure. Frekote semi-permanent release coatings are said to be the industry standard replacement for sacrificial release agents, according to the literature. Unlike sacrificial silicones and waxes, the company's semi-permanents do not transfer to parts. Instead, they chemically bond to mold surfaces. Parts are said to release cleanly because they cannot stick to these low surface energy films. Hysol methacrylate methacrylate /meth·ac·ry·late/ (meth-ak´ri-lat) an ester of methacrylic acid, or the resin derived from polymerization of the ester. See also acrylic resins, under resin.  adhesives are said to enable manufacturers to expand their design options, boost productivity and improve product performance, according to the literature. These products are rubber-toughened, structural adhesives that cure rapidly at room temperature and are said to be formulated for the most demanding bonding applications. They are designed to replace mechanical fasteners with minimal surface preparation. (Dexter)
