BROADUS STUDENTS RESPOND TO COVERAGE OF THEIR SCHOOL.WE are a fifth-grade class at Broadous Elementary School elementary school: see school. that read your news article ``Top to Bottom.'' We are sorry that the article did not reveal the great things happening at Broadous. The school campus has been landscaped by dedicated parents that planted flowers, shrubbery and plants to make our school campus beautiful. The picture of the fence was a poor representation of our school. We have 1,200 students working in their classrooms. Seeing one of our classrooms in your paper would have been pleasant. My class has learned a song called ``Something Inside So Strong'' that teaches us to work to achieve our goals. It states that we know that we can make it. Our class is very proud of the students, teachers, parents, administrators and school. Our perception and mind-set is different from the news article because we do not see ourselves at the bottom. We will continue to learn and achieve because we know that our parents and teachers are supporting us. When you guys took the picture, why didn't you take your time and look at how beautiful our flowers are or the nice grass? You could have taken a picture of the whole campus when you took a picture of a fence. It doesn't matter if the school is high or low. What matters is the children - how smart, what did they do or what they learn. If you are bad on the outside it does not mean you are bad on the inside. If you think Broadous is bad on the outside because of the scores, you should look in the inside. We like Broadous even if it is not how you like it. Broadous has a room for speech. Why didn't you go to Mr. Weaver's computer lab? You should have looked at our drill team, our play areas and at all of the classrooms. Jennifer Donado I am sorry you did not take the time to write about the wonderful things that the teachers and parents are doing to improve our education. The teachers and parents are doing the best for all of us students. Our teachers are saying that we are the future. You did not take the time to go to the other classes and see how teachers and students work together like a team. You took pictures only of the outside gate.
