A FLIGHT from Mexico was held at Heathrow for 45 minutes yesterday while officials quizzed passengers on how they felt.

Inspectors boarded the jet and asked each traveller if they had any flu symptoms.

The tourists - some still wearing the surgical face masks they picked up in Mexico - were then released after questioning.

"A few people said they didn't feel too good and they were taken to the front of the plane, but they seemed happy to release them and let them leave.

I'm glad I left Mexico. People are starting to panic."I've got friends back there who are really worried. About 90 per cent of people are wearing face masks. They're being handed out on the streets.

Mexican tourist Sonia Rodriguez Sonia Rodriguez is a Canadian ballet dancer.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, she moved to Madrid, Spain, at age five. Rodriguez received dance training there with Pedro de la Cruz and also at the Princess Grace Academy in Monaco.
, 20, added: "It's been scary at home. We're glad to get away." But Alina Strong, 50, of Caversfield, Oxon, warned: "The flu can take up to seven days to develop so we could all have it and they are just letting us go. "It's just ridiculous."
