BRITISH AEROSPACE APPOINTS MANAGER OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS

 WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- British Aerospace, Inc. (BAe), announced today the appointment of Philip E. Soucy as manager, public affairs. In this new position, he will serve as the company's public relations focal point.
 In making the announcement, Robert L. Kirk, chairman of British Aerospace, Inc., noted: "British Aerospace has a wide and varied presence in the United States, ranging from airliners to military aircraft, four-wheel drive vehicles to artillery and simulators. Phil's knowledge of the company and our principal market place will provide us with sound leadership in our interface with our customers and constituents."
 Prior to this appointment, Soucy worked for British Aerospace, Inc., in its Government Programs Office in Rosslyn, Va., serving the public relations needs principally of BAe's Defense Company in the United States. Prior to joining British Aerospace in 1989, he was a career U.S. Army infantry officer. His last assignment in the Army was as a media spokesman for the secretary of the Army.
