BRITE VOICE SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES VALUE ADed SELECT SERIES, ANOTHER BRITE MEDIA SOLUTION

WICHITA, Kan., March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Brite Voice Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: BVSI), a leading provider of voice processing and marketing solutions for the media industry, has announced an innovative enhancement for traditional

newspaper classifieds... the Value ADed(SM) Select Series electronic classifieds.
CarSelect(SM), HomeSelect(SM) and RentSelect(SM) allow a newspaper to generate more revenue from automotive, real estate and rental advertisers by increasing the value of advertising packages the newspaper can offer. The Value ADed Select Series enhances, rather than replaces, a publisher's print classifieds and is designed for smooth integration into a newspaper's existing systems and operating procedures. For example, print ads can be automatically translated into voice listings. The combination of print, voice and fax capabilities represents the easiest way for consumers to find the car, home or rental property of their choice.
R.D. (Bud) Calvert, general manager, Brite Media Division, explained, "A publisher offering the Value ADed Select Series gains experience with electronic delivery while generating revenue by leveraging the core print product. A publisher can solidify its position as the market's primary shopping source by providing consumers multiple shopping methods. Furthermore, the Value ADed Select Series gives the publisher the ability to validate to advertisers the newspaper as an advertising medium which delivers prospects who buy cars and homes and rent apartments."
Advertisers Benefit from Value ADed Select Series
Advertisers utilizing the Value ADed Select Series, available on or before July 1, will benefit from increased exposures, prequalified prospects and the availability of market demand reports. These reports allow the advertiser to focus print advertising on those areas with the most interested prospects, as well as reach prospects through alternative media such as direct mail.
According to Calvert, "Offering CarSelect, HomeSelect and RentSelect generates more prospects than print alone. Consumers can shop at times when reading is impractical and can respond at the point of greatest interest...while on the phone. When the prospect direct connects, he or she already knows the price and features and is eager for more information."
Consumers Rarely Have it so Easy
Unlike traditional shopping methods, the Value ADed Select Series gives shoppers immediate access, via any touchtone phone, to the largest inventory of vehicles, real estate and rentals available. Through the Select Series, the shopping process is made more easy because the information is so readily obtainable. The prospect doesn't have to involve a salesperson early in the process. When there's a need for more information, the shopper can reach the advertiser through direct connect and call forwarding.
Dr. Tom Goulding, Brite's Marketing, Engineering and Information Services executive said, "We are excited to introduce another major new product which continues to position the newspaper as the leading advertising resource, bringing buyer and seller together. Consumers can now browse easily through ads based on preselected criteria of personal interest and are even notified when new listings meeting the consumers' requirements are added."
The Value ADed Select Series, with its powerful database features, encompasses half of the products offered through Brite's Value ADed Classifieds. The other three products offer unique privacy and control features. All six generate additional revenue for newspapers in the area of classified advertising.
Brite Voice Systems, based in Wichita, with offices in England, Germany, Italy and Switzerland, is known for its audiotex/IVR/fax media solutions including CITYLINE(R), which is used in more than 80 newspapers throughout the country.
