Both events are limited to invited guests, but the Blair visit -- the first ever to California by a sitting British prime minister -- is causing a stir among Anglophiles. ``It was an immediate sellout for us,'' said Lincoln Hubbard, spokesman for the World Affairs Council, which has an open invitation to heads of state to address its members. Hubbard said the 1,800-2,000 tickets for Blair's luncheon address at the Bonaventure Hotel were gone almost as soon as they were announced. The tickets are priced at $80 a person to cover the cost of the event. ``We are pleased with the response and that we are able to provide a venue,'' Hubbard said.
