The pair were attending a screening of the first episode of the new series - details of which are due to be released tomorrow. Tennant, 34, whose recent credits include Casanova and Blackpool, has taken over the role from Christopher Eccleston and has already starred in a Christmas special. He and Piper arrived at the Wales Millennium Centre The Wales Millennium Centre (Welsh: Canolfan Mileniwm Cymru) is a centre for the performing arts located on the Cardiff Bay waterfront. Opened in November 2004, it has hosted performances of opera, ballet, dance, comedy and musicals. in Cardiff for the special screening last night. According to the BBC's website, actor Marc Warren, currently starring in the hit series Hustle, has joined the cast of episode 10 of the new series. Tennant said: "I grew up loving Dr Who and it has been a lifelong dream to get my own Tardis." Mark Gatiss, of the League of Gentlemen, was also at the event.
