Three string bands play Thursday at Cozmic Pizza

String bands from three cities will converge at Cozmic Pizza on Thursday night for a hot, sweaty hootenanny hoot·en·an·ny

Wild Hog in the Woods, from Corvallis, will start the show off at 7 p.m. Then the Conjugal Pertaining or relating to marriage; suitable or applicable to married people.

Conjugal rights are those that are considered to be part and parcel of the state of matrimony, such as love, sex, companionship, and support.
 Visitors, often heard playing around Eugene, will warm the stage for the Bucky Walters Band from Arcata, Calif.

The cover is $3 to $5. This is a rare 21-and-over show at Cozmic Pizza, at 199 W. Eighth Ave.

Army band stops in Florence for free show

The concert is third in a series that the group is performing as a tribute to Oregon communities "for their support of the Oregon Army and Air National Guard," a news release says.

The group also plans to play at 3 p.m. July 27 at Island Park in Springfield.

Old-time park concert offered at River Play area

On Sunday, Upstart Crow Studios presents "Right Here in River City!," an old-fashioned band concert in the park.

A news release encourages audience members to bring a picnic. Those in attendance also can sign up for a chance to conduct the orchestra.

The free event starts at noon at the River Play area in Skinner Butte Park, north of the intersection of Lincoln and Cheshire streets.
