Fire injures five at Juvenile Hall

Homeless camp stabbing reported

SUN VALLEY -- A man was stabbed multiple times outside a homeless encampment at Sheldon Street and San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles. 1 dead, 2 hurt in bar stabbing

CANOGA PARK -- A man was killed and two others were injured in a stabbing outside a local bar early Saturday, police said.

Jeweler robbed outside home

VALLEY GLEN -- A jewelry salesman was robbed of about $900,000 in merchandise in the driveway of his home Friday, police said.

The holdup in the 12800 block of Bessemer Street occurred about 5:15 p.m., said Los Angeles police Sgt. Kent Pollard of the North Hollywood Station.

The two suspects in the case were described only as Latino, Pollard said. At least one of the suspects had a pistol, police said.

The incident was similar to a San Dimas robbery reported about 10:45 Wednesday night, police said. In that incident, a jewelry salesman and his son were robbed in front of their home in the 2200 block of Calle Margarita.
