Metrolink train to collect gifts

Metrolink's Holiday Toy Express is scheduled to stop in Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  on Saturday and in Moorpark on Sunday.

The Simi stop will be at 5:45 p.m. at 5050 Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Ave., and the Moorpark stop will be at 7:30 p.m. at 300 High St.

Santa will visit depot-museum

SIMI VALLEY -- The Santa Susana Santa Susana can refer to several places:
  • The Santa Susana Mountains in southern California
  • Santa Susana Pass, running through the abovementioned mountains
  • Santa Susana Field Laboratory, near Los Angeles, a test facility for rockets and (formerly) nuclear reactors
 Railroad Depot and Museum, in cooperation with the Simi Valley Care and Share program and Girl Scout Cadet Troop 118, will host a visit from Santa Claus Santa Claus: see Nicholas, Saint.

Santa Claus
 next Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the depot.

Santa will hand out candy canes to children, and visitors are asked to bring donations of nonperishable food for the Care and Share Christmas Basket Program.

The depot is at 6503 Katherine Road in the Santa Susana Knolls area.

Holiday music to be performed

SIMI VALLEY -- Santa Susana High School's winter concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday in the school's auditorium, 3570 E. Cochran St.
