Principal to be among speakers at Town Hall

Willamette High School Willamette High School is a school in Eugene, Oregon.

Willamette, or "Wil-Hi," is located in the Bethel-Danebo area of west Eugene, and is the only high school in the Bethel School District.
 Principal Jim Jamieson James A. Jamieson (born April 21, 1943) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour in the 1970s.

Jamieson was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and raised in Moline, Illinois. He started playing golf at age 7 at Oakwood Country Club in Moline.
 will be among the speakers at a Town Hall meeting being held by state Rep. Debi Farr, a Eugene Republican, on Thursday.

The event takes place at Willamette High School at 6:30 p.m.

The topic of the town hall includes what the next legislative session plans on doing regarding education.

Vote Smart official to speak at Cicero Society

The September meeting of the Cicero Society will feature a representative of Project Vote Smart. Muriel Renov will discuss the organization's election guide, The Voter's Self-Defense Manual.

The meeting will be held noon Thursday in the Wildish Room of the Town Club, on the ninth floor of the Citizens Building, 975 Oak St. Lunch is available. For information, all 937-2942.

Triple Rise Horse Show to host awards event

Triple Rise Horse Show Management will host the Year End Awards Show and Oregon Hunter Jumper Association Medal Finals from Thursday through Sunday at the Oregon Horse Center, 90751 Prairie Road in Eugene.

Child ID kits available at Wal-Mart on Saturday

Parents can pick up a free child identification kit on Sept. 9 at all Wal-Mart stores.

The kid includes safety information for parents and guardians and a placeholder place·hold·er

 Association to meet

SPRINGFIELD - Rosie the Riveter Association will hold its first fall meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Willamalane Senior Center.

The meeting welcomes women who worked in the war effort during World War II.
