Willamette University plans MBA program for Portland site

SALEM - Portland workers will be able to get a graduate business degree from Willamette University - without hopping on Interstate 5.

The Salem university's new home in the Pearl District will feature classrooms for the new professional master of business administration program, said Jim Goodrich, dean of Willamette's Atkinson Graduate School of Management The George H. Atkinson Graduate School of Management is the MBA program at Willamette University, one of only two MBA programs in the world accredited for both Business Administration (AACSB International) and Public Administration (NASPAA). .

The Willamette Portland Center opens in August. The two-year program is accepting students into its first class of 30, and will add another 30 for each fall and winter term. Classes begin this fall during evening hours. Tuition will be about the same as for Willamette's full-time program, which is $10,000 a semester, Goodrich said.
