Motorists can expect delays of up to 15 minutes. -Daily News Artist to lead walk to spot wild birds LANCASTER - The Prime Desert Woodland Preserve will mark the approach of summer with a walk led by wildlife artist Ron Smith. Visitors can enjoy a casual walk among the Joshua trees and junipers as Smith identifies birds there in the summer. Observers should bring their field guides and binoculars. Smith is the chairman of the Lancaster Planning Commission as well as a painter. The walk will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at the preserve, located at the corner of Avenue K-8 and 35th Street West.
