Center offers counseling class
for children of divorce, separation
The Center for Community Counseling Community counseling is a generic term for any kind of professional counseling that occurs outside a hospital setting. is offering a class on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages 5 to 13 whose parents are divorced or separated.
Children will have the opportunity to express their thoughts about their parents' situation, share with other children, learn about the legal aspects of the separation from a family practice lawyer, and use art therapy and writing to express their feelings.
There will be an elementary and middle school group with free, on-site child care for ages 4 and under. Class fees are based on a sliding scale slid·ing scale
A scale in which indicated prices, taxes, or wages vary in accordance with another factor, as wages with the cost-of-living index or medical charges with a patient's income. .
