Argument leads to knife injuries

PANORAMA CITY - A knife-wielding assailant allegedly stabbed two men during a dispute early Sunday before one victim wrestled the knife away and injured the attacker.

The fight broke out about 1:45 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 8400 block of Cedros Avenue, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Jeff Hart of the Los Angeles Police Department's Devonshire Station.

The victims apparently tried to intervene in a dispute between the assailant and a woman.

All three men know each other, Hart said. Their identities were not released.

One of the victims was stabbed about 15 times in the upper body, and the second also suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper body, Hart said. After wrestling the knife away, one of the victims stabbed the assailant in the neck.

All three men were taken to area hospitals, and their wounds did not appear to be life-threatening.
