Woman injured when car hits pole

CANYON COUNTRY - A 20-year-old woman was in critical condition at a local hospital Sunday a Sunday set apart for simultaneous contribution in churches to hospitals; as, the London Hospital Sunday.

Sierra Highway reopening today

SANTA CLARITA - Sierra Highway between Vasquez Canyon Road and Agua Dulce Canyon Road in the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  - closed during the record-setting storms this month - will reopen today, officials said.

The reopening will occur at 5 a.m., according to the county Department of Public Works.

``Commuters are advised to observe road closure signs and not attempt to drive around closure barricades at any time,'' according to a department statement.
