Tutoring program plans orientation for volunteers

The OASIS Tutoring Program, which pairs adult volunteer tutors age 50 or older with first- through third-grade students, will hold six "tutor coffees" from July to September to introduce potential tutors to the Learning Experience Approach used by the OASIS program.

Meetings will be held at the OASIS Education Center, in Meier & Frank's second-floor rotunda at Valley River Center Valley River Center is a shopping mall located in Eugene, Oregon. As the largest shopping center south of Portland and north of San Francisco, this mall comprises over 130 local and national stores and restaurants. , at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday; 10:30 a.m. Aug. 11; 2 p.m. Aug. 17; 1 p.m. Sept. 8.; 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15; and 2 p.m. Sept. 16.
