Chambers Communications lands former Symantec exec

Dana Siebert has been hired as executive vice president of Chambers Communications in Eugene, the company announced Monday.

Siebert, formerly a senior executive with Symantec Corp., will provide general management oversight for areas of Chambers Communications, including partnership development, strategic planning, and new business initiatives, such as expanding the company's programming presence in Portland and nationally, the firm said.

Siebert joins Chambers Communications from Oregon Life Sciences, a Eugene-based venture capital company, where he was managing director. Previously, Siebert was executive vice president of software maker Symantec.

At Symantec, Siebert had responsibilities in sales, marketing and services.

Chambers Communications owns Oregon ABC affiliates KEZI-9 in Eugene, KDRV-12 in Medford, and KDKF-31 in Klamath Falls along with other media ventures.
