Boater safety classes set The Willamette River Power Squadron will offer a trio of boating safety classes in Lane County, including one that begins tonight in Cottage Grove. Class graduates receive the boater safety card required of power boaters age 45 and under by Oregon's mandatory boater education law. The first class will be held every Thursday through Jan. 27 at Lane Community College's Cottage Grove campus. A spring class there will run March 31-April 21.
