Gunshots prompt mass evacuation

GLENDALE - A 28-year-old man suspected of being suicidal fired a gunshot inside a house Thursday, prompting police to evacuate neighbors and call out the Special Response Team, officials said.

Police were called to the 1100 block of Geneva Geneva, canton and city, Switzerland

Teen critics sought to review literature

A book review contest for teens is being sponsored by Burbank Public Library's Young Adults Services.

``Books & All That Jazz'' runs through the month of March and is open to area high school students. Winners will receive gift certificates from local merchants.
