Boy, 2, left on bus reunited with mother

Sheriff's deputies on Friday reunited a 2-year-old boy and his mother less than two hours after they were separated in a Metrolink mix-up, authorities said.

The woman left the boy in a train at the Palmdale station while she was outside buying tickets about 5 a.m., authorities said.

Transit Services Bureau deputies at the Via Princessa station took custody of the boy about 5:30 a.m., holding him until his mother arrived at 6:38 a.m., sheriff's deputies said.

No criminal charges were filed against the woman.

Man arrested in sales of counterfeit clothes

LANCASTER -- More than $100,000 worth of counterfeit clothing, including designer jeans and NBA and NFL logo items, was seized Friday in raids conducted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Lancaster.

The raids were conducted by the Targeted Oriented Policing team operating out of the sheriff's station in Lancaster about 3:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Minimall at 10th Street West.

The mall is a kind of covered swap meet with booths rented out to various sellers, said Sgt. Adam Ellison of the Lancaster station.

Ellison said sheriff's detectives were contacted by trademark investigators, who had obtained a cease-and-desist order against one booth operator and were threatening to do so on a second.

Min Yung Kim, 28, who was selling allegedly counterfeited sports clothing, "was confrontational with the private investigators," Ellison said.

After an investigation by sheriff's detectives, $66,000 worth of counterfeit attire was seized and the Los Angeles man was arrested on a felony charge of knowingly selling counterfeit clothing, with bail set at $250,000.

A second merchant selling bogus designer jeans -- some items were advertised as being marked down from $800 to $65 -- voluntarily surrendered about $50,000 worth of clothing, Ellison said. He was not held.
