Deputies seek man in armed robberies

PALMDALE -- A man who went on an armed-robbery spree Tuesday night in Palmdale remained at large Wednesday, sheriff's deputies said.

In less than an hour, he stole two cell phones in separate incidents and then attempted to rob a woman of her purse PURSE. In Turkey the sum of five hundred dollars is called a purse. Merch. Dict. h.t. , deputies said.

Neighbor's tip leads to two theft arrests

PALMDALE -- A neighbor's call to authorities early Wednesday morning led to the arrests of two men on suspicion of grand theft, sheriff's deputies said.

At 4:40 a.m., a neighbor reported seeing two men who appeared to be removing stereo See stereophonic.  equipment from a vehicle at Cocina Lane and Via Verdad, sheriff's deputies said.

Deputies found that the two actually were installing stereo equipment they had stolen overnight from Clark and Howard Towing in Palmdale, sheriff's officials said.

The suspects were identified as Ryan Lasko, 19, and Brian Cummings, 18.
