Body of man, 32, found near dump

LANCASTER -- The body of a 32-year-old man was found Wednesday in a remote section of Lancaster near the city dump, a Coroner's Office official said. The victim's name was being withheld until his family was notified, the official said.

The body was discovered at 8:30 a.m. about 25 feet off the side of the road on Challenger Way, just north of Avenue F.

Ventura was pronounced dead at the scene. Loevner was airlifted to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a hospital in Mission Hills, California, USA. The hospital has 254 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. History  in Mission Hills with moderate injuries, a sheriff's deputy said.

3-vehicle crash leaves five hurt

PALMDALE -- A three-vehicle collision in Palmdale on Tuesday left five injured, three critically, authorities said.

The collision occurred about 3:45 p.m., when Tamkia Temple, 43, of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. , lost control of her sedan Sedan (sədäN`), town (1990 pop. 22,407), Ardennes dept., NE France, on the Meuse River. A noted textile center since the 16th cent., Sedan also has metal and brewing industries. The town became part of French crown lands in 1642.  while traveling east on Challenger Way just east of AvenueM. Her car crashed into a minivan and a pickup, a sheriff's deputy said.

Temple suffered head injuries and was in critical condition but was stabilized Wednesday, said a sheriff's deputy who said the woman is expected to recover.

Her two passengers, Eugene Reed, 33, and Taylor Ross, 34, both of Littlerock, also were listed in critical condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Two other drivers were treated for less serious injuries.
