Those listed here were, at the very least, residents of the parts of Europe occupied by the Axis powers during World War II who survived and liberators who helped free them will be guests at a Holocaust Remembrance Day program April 15 at Mount Sinai Memorial Park. Everyone, whether Jewish or of another faith, is invited to attend the event at 10 a.m. in the memorial park at 6150 Mount Sinai Drive, north of the 118 Freeway off Yosemite Avenue. Organizers said children are especially welcome at the event. Mount Sinai is inaugurating the Mount Sinai Shoah Quilt, created by members of the community to represent recollections, reflections and family history about the Holocaust.
